New Jersey C and D Visa Lawyer

The C and D visas are used for employees who need to travel through the United States for work purposes, and will not be stopping for other purposes, such as to visit a relative or conduct business outside of the one designated by the visa. Our New Jersey C and D visa lawyer is ready to help you secure the visa you need.

Allowances & Limitations of the C & D Visa

The general rule for a C Transit Visa holder is that you must be in immediate and continuous travel through the US on your way to your foreign destination, and have sufficient funds for transit. You will be required to document this with an airline ticket showing that you are passing through the country. The maximum period of stay is 29 days.

If you are travelling through the U.S. to join a ship or aircraft as a crew member, you will need to apply for a D Crewman Visa. This is a non-immigrant work visa for people working on international aircraft or vessels, such as cruise ships.

Generally, C and D visa holders are ineligible to change status if they stay in the U.S and seek adjustment.
