Attorney Yalitza M. Maldonado is admitted to practice in Florida, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, and the Federal District Court for the District of Puerto Rico. While studying at the University of Puerto Rico School of Law, her practical abilities were enhanced by participating in internships at the Puerto Rico Department of Natural and Environmental Resources and the Puerto Rico Court of Appeals.
After graduating from law school in 2015, Yalitza worked as a contractor paralegal at the United States Attorney’s Office and as an associate attorney at a Puerto Rico law firm specialized in Employment Law matters. More recently, she represents clients in immigration matters before the Immigration Court and USCIS, which includes removal defense, asylum, family-based petitions, cancellation of removal, adjustment of status, naturalization applications, among other matters.
Yalitza’s passion for Immigration Law stems from her discontent with the recent changes through the immigration system. She decided to use her knowledge to empower and assist the immigrant community.
