Lloyd Bennett Esq., in his role as Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Chair for the New Jersey Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, organized a meeting with the ICE Field Office Director (FOD) and senior staff. We discussed issues relating to staff changes, issuance of notices to appear, scheduling of immigration court hearing dates, issues concerning increases in detention among the immigrant population, municipal and criminal court arrests, stays of removal, and U visa issues.

While we don’t always agree with the current policies, we appreciate the continued opportunity to maintain a constructive dialogue with the FOD and staff.
